Week 3

Hello once again; Luna, Neil, and Finnán here, with a progress update on this week's prototypes. The theme this week was "time" - Luna's prototype added a timer to the race, Neil's prototype had an aesthetical transition between night and day when a button was clicked, and Finnán's prototype introduced an input to pause time.

The primary results of Luna's playtests stated that it was fun to play, but the player was slippery and difficult to control on the turns, and it was hard to drive without veering into a wall during sharper turns as a result.
The playtests of Neil's prototype revealed that it worked as intended, and minimal criticism was offered.
Playtesters mentioned that Finnán's prototype had a good core concept, but was not challenging enough and could benefit from more obstacles, as well as a cooldown for the timestop mechanic.

Our final goal for this project will be a fully functional racing game, with touched up aesthetics and added mechanics to improve the gameplay experience. For next week, we will be working on a implementing a countdown timer at the start of the race, a lap counter, and a proper end to the race once enough laps are completed.
