Week 12
Hello again everyone; this is Luna, Neil and Finnán, back again with another progress update on the game. We've progressed decently well; we've begun to implement some of the feedback given in the alpha playtest, such as the barriers suggested by multiple people, as well as the player select screen, which we were unable to have ready for the alpha playtest. Some changes still need to be made, such as the CPU movement and the placement screen, and a pause screen still needs to be implemented, which we will be working on next.
For the beta testing, we are uncertain if we will be able to add in all the necessary feedback in time, which could lead to the game feeling mostly the same as it did during the alpha playtest. Also, the game only has two tracks, so it's possible beta testers will regard it as a bit lacking in content. Altogether, the game needs to feel replayable, and we aren't sure whether we have achieved this yet; with any luck, we will be able to sort this out before the beta playtest.
